The Story Behind All Things Croatia
Hey everyone! I’m Stanko Zovak and your host of the All Things Croatia podcast. Growing up as a member of the Croatian diaspora in Los Angeles, I was always involved in the community but wanted to do more. A year and a half ago I made the choice to quit my job and move to Zagreb where I’m studying the Croatian language and now focusing my efforts on this podcast. After living in Croatia for a while, I decided I would build something to help connect the global Croatian community so others can feel as close and involved as I wanted to when I was back in L.A. Starting as a podcast and now encompassing street interviews, weekly news recaps and more, I am proud to bring you guys All Things Croatia!
About Me
Growing up, I always told my parents I wanted to be a construction worker. Since that didn’t work out, naturally podcasting was my next choice! I have always been creative, having played in bands, written a screenplay, and acted in a short lived and self produced comedy channel. People always said I had a face for radio so I figured a podcast was the next best thing! Being so proud of my Croatian roots, it was only a matter of time before I was able to combine that with some of my other talents and skills. Starting the All Things Croatia podcast has allowed me to network with other Croatians and better connect the community. I also create other Croatian content on my social media, including the popular interviews on the street!
